How orders get into Zoho Inventory today
- Sales orders are typed in one by one, or imported from a CSV in Zoho's format with a 1 MB file limit.
- Zoho's WhatsApp integration sends sales orders and invoices out to customers; it does not read orders coming in.
- Autoscan in Zoho Books reads vendor bills and receipts, not customer purchase orders.
How OrderDak posts to Zoho Inventory
- You sign in with Zoho and approve access to sales orders, items, contacts and tax settings. OrderDak uses your organisation's own data centre (zoho.in for India).
- Items and customers sync from Zoho; each order line is matched to an item, learning each customer's names for your products.
- Rates, GST rates, credit limit and outstanding are checked before posting.
- The sales order is created with the buyer's PO number as the reference number, the requested shipment date, and the right tax for each line.

Connect your Zoho Inventory organisation from OrderDak settings.
Let the first sync of items and customers finish (usually a few minutes).
Forward your order inbox, or upload a few recent purchase orders to see the result.
Good to know
- Zoho limits API calls per organisation per minute; very large backlogs are posted in batches.
- Zoho Books sales orders are on the roadmap.
Questions
Does it work with Zoho Inventory in India and abroad?
Yes. OrderDak uses whichever Zoho data centre your organisation is on.
Will it create new items or customers?
No. It only posts against items and customers that already exist. Unknown ones go to review.
Can I keep the sales order as a draft?
Yes. You can choose to create sales orders as drafts for a final check in Zoho.
